This session will demonstrate how Promethean’s latest Version 7 ActivPanel truly changes the way teaching and learning happens in the classroom. From a unified menu to superior software to casting with touchback, this session will start from square one and have you using your classroom technology in ways you never thought possible. Participants will learn how to incorporate the Promethean ActivPanel in various grade levels and content areas and will also gain access to free online training materials.

Title: Bringing the Hour of Code to Your Classroom All Year Long

It’s no secret that computers power our world – from education to healthcare to finance, software, apps, and artificial intelligence are fast becoming the industries of the future. However, less than 2.4% of college students will graduate with a computer science degree. To make matters worse, 95% of our schools don’t teach programming. Fortunately, there is something that we can do about it! This session will help you bring coding into your classroom all year long. Participants will learn how their students can do all the work and begin to teach others about the power of computer science!

Title: Interactive Writing – The “Write” Stuff!

Writing is such a fundamental part of communication yet it is one of the hardest skills to teach. If you are like most teachers, you struggle to get your kids to write their ideas down on paper. In this session focused on PreK through 3rd grade, participants will learn how to use their Promethean ActivBoard or ActivPanel in an easy, hands-on, interactive way to to turn even the most reluctant writer into a flourishing author!

Title: ActivCast in the Classroom

Teachers and students can use the Promethean ActivCast app on their Promethean ActivPanel to wirelessly mirror their content, ideas and apps on their device so that the entire class can collaborate and share ideas. Come and learn how a 5th grade math and science classroom becomes much more active through the use of Promethean ActivCast!
